The first private TV station in Cyprus, Antenna (ANT1), which counts 26 years of dynamic and credible presence on the market, is the leader in TV ratings in both its news bulletins as well as its local series. The TV station chose Metus INGEST solution to capture and record their live programs, so it can bring high-quality content to its many viewers.
The TV station is not only successful in Cyprus. Antenna (ANT1) launched on 31 December 1989, and since then kept the primate of most popular network in Greece with a line-up of the hit series and numerous comedies, dramas, news, current affairs programs, game shows and entertainment shows.
The company Vavel Netmedia, which is the oldest registered IT Company in Cyprus dating since 1992, provided a turnkey solution for ANT1, consisted of six Intel Core i9-based workstations, Blackmagic Decklink Quad cards and the Metus INGEST Pro version with multiple inputs and codecs. Here is what Vavel's R&D Team had to say about the project: "Considering the demanding needs of our client for this project, it took us just 3 days of “exhausting” tests on Metus INGEST! No crash, user friendly! It was easy to gain operators trust.”
Mr.Ali Khadem at Antenna TV LTD added: “When we installed and setup Metus in our premises, managing 24 Live sport in a one day became easy. We are able to record the same satellite with different compressions with the single Metus recorder. Our editors use Metus INGEST to record the full football game in segments of 5 minutes and produce news bulletins and deliver it to the news room in very tight schedule without worrying about technical difficulties. Stability, is the most important feature of this application.”
